Symposium: The Future of the Death Penalty

The University of Arkansas School of Law, in conjunction with the Arkansas Law Review, will host the 206-2017 Arkansas Law Review Symposium entitled The Future of the Death Penalty on Friday, October 21, 2016 8:45 a.m.-5:30 p.m.  The venue is the E.J. Ball Courtroom of University of Arkansas School of Law.

Death Penalty Abolishment Bill Passed By NJ Senate

The bill  passed by a vote of 8-4 on Monday, Dec 3rd and is designed to replace capital punishment with life in prison.  This new piece of legislation could pave the way for New Jersey to abolish the death penalty.  For more details, with direct links to the text of the bill and various Senate reports, go here.
