Conference: Assessment Across the Curriculum

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law presents Assessment Across the Curriculum on April 5, 2014. Conferences and Symposia: The Future of Law School

In 2012-13, the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta is celebrating its centenary. Their Centenary Year will culminate with the two and a half day Conference, The Future of Law School, that will take place from Thursday, September 26, 2013 through Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Center for Teaching Excellence: Writing Lockdown Program

Suffolk University’s Center for Teaching Excellence is hosting a Writing Lockdown Program for faculty writers to dive into writing projects with concentrated time, effort, and support. This lockdown session will help you jump start your writing projects before the fall semester gets started. We’ll provide the space, some food, and peace of mind – you provide the words. CTE: Summer Writing Group Kick-Off Meeting

During the summer, the CTE will be offering a writing group for faculty and staff who are interested in goal-setting and accountability. Participants meet weekly to discuss their projects, troubleshoot obstacles, and celebrate successes. The Summer 2013 group kick-off meeting will be held on Thursday, May 9th, 12-1pm. At this meeting we’ll discuss the goals of the group and decide on the weekly meeting time for the spring semester.

CTE: Hybrid Course Design Institute Summer Sessions

The Hybrid Course Design Institute is a six-week program that includes face-to-face and online activities that simulate the experience of taking a hybrid course. Available sessions include:

Session I (Tuesdays) – 6/4, 6/11, 6/18, 6/25, 7/2, 7/16 (10-3pm each day)
OR
Session II (Wednesdays) – 7/17, 7/24, 7/31, 8/7, 8/14, 8/21 (10-3 each day)
