Call for Proposals: Proposals for research activities

The Minerva Center for the Study of the Rule of Law under Extreme Conditions at the University of Haifa (Faculty of Law and the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies), invites proposals for research activities aimed at analyzing the various aspects of pre, during and post-emergency resilience.  The due date is February 15, 2017.

Funding categories:

  1. Post-doctoral fellowships / visiting researchers (short and longer term)
  2. Seed money for research proposals – up to $5000
  3. Support for on-going research – up to $5000
  4. Workshops, colloquia and conferences – up to $5000
  5. Development of empirical databases – up to $5000
  6. Publications of relevant research products – up to $2500

Fellowship: Harvard Mahindra Humanities Center

The Mahindra Humanities Center (Harvard) invites applications for one-year postdoctoral fellowships in connection with the Center’s Andrew W. Mellon Foundation seminar on the topic of violence and non-violence.

Following on the themes of war (2014-15) and everyday violence (2015-16), the seminar will focus on slow violence in 2016-17.

Fellows will receive stipends of $65,000, individual medical insurance, moving assistance of $1,500, and additional research support of $2,500.

Fellowship: Law & Public Affairs at Princeton University


The Program in Law and Public Affairs (LAPA) at Princeton University invites outstanding faculty members of any discipline, independent scholars, lawyers, and judges to apply for visiting, residential appointments for the academic year 2016–2017. LAPA Fellows devote the major portion of their time to their own research and writing on law-related subjects of empirical, interpretive, doctrinal and/or normative significance. All applicants must have received a doctorate, juris doctor, or an equivalent professional degree at the time of submission of the fellowship application. Successful LAPA applicants should demonstrate substantial expertise in law-related maers. The program does not support, as a primary activity, off-site fieldwork or work in remote archives, development of course materials, work in legal practice, direct advocacy of causes or residence elsewhere.
