Symposium: Game Changer: Developments in the Sports and Entertainment Industries

The Virginia Sports & Entertainment Law Journal is sponsoring the symposium, Game Changer: Developments in the Sports and Entertainment Industries, on February 20, 2015 at the University of Virginia School of Law.  The symposium will bring together sports and entertainment executives, attorneys and scholars for a discussion of issues including morals and ethics in sports contracts, franchise sales and stadium financing, and content distribution.

Symposium: Taking Care of Business: How the Evolution of the Marketplace is Changing the Rules of the Game

Call for Papers: The Social, Ethical, and Legal Consequences of Sports-Related Brain Injuries

Cleveland-Marshall College of Law’s Journal of Law & Health is seeking papers for its Annual Symposium: The Social, Ethical, and Legal Consequences of Sports-Related Brain Injuries. The Journal of Law & Health is a student-run publication dedicated to publishing innovative articles that offer diverse perspectives on the intersection between law, health and medicine. The Symposium aims to facilitate a well-rounded discussion between judges, legislators, academics, and medical professionals on the social, ethical, and legal issues that may occur as more research becomes available on brain injuries in sports.

To submit a paper, e-mail a 600-word abstract describing your topic and a copy of your curriculum vitae  to n.m.vento@cmlaw.csuohio.edu & j.gatta@cmlaw.csuohio.edu by November 30, 2014. Include “Submission: Annual Symposium” in the subject line of your e-mail.

Conference: Duke Law’s Sports and Entertainment Law Society

Duke Law’s Sports and Entertainment Law Society will host its Fourth Annual Symposium on February 7, 2014 to discuss current legal issues in the sports and entertainment industries.
