The eighth annual meeting of the Society for Environmental Law and Economics (SELE) will be held on May 27-28, 2016, at The University of Texas School of Law, Austin, Texas.

The goal of the meeting is to build upon the success of past meetings, and continue to build a community of environmental scholars interested in working in the intersection of law, economics, and environmental or natural resource issues. This year, SELE hopes to put further emphasis on the interdisciplinary study of problems in environmental regulation and natural resource management. SELE welcomes both theoretical and empirical papers, as well as studies looking at problems at the local and international levels.

To submit a paper, email a Word or PDF file to Gena Dawson at with the subject line “SELE SUBMISSION,” by Thursday, December 31, 2015.

Further information regarding accommodation, the conference program, and other logistic matters will be posted here.  Inquiries can also be sent to Gena Dawson at
