Call for Papers: Labor & Employment Law Colloquium

The Third Annual Colloquium on Current Scholarship in Labor & Employment Law will held in San Diego from October 23 to October 25, 2008. This year’s colloquium will be co-hosted by California Western School of Law, Thomas Jefferson School of Law, and the University of San Diego School of Law. This annual colloquium is a forum for American labor and employment law scholars to present and obtain feedback on works-in-progress. Supreme Court Set to Hear “Me Too” Employment Discrimination Case

On June 11th, the U.S. Supreme Court granted cert. in Medelsohn v. Sprint/United ManagementRoss Runkel of the Supreme Court Times wrote that, “This case presents a recurring question of proof in employment discrimination cases: whether a district court must admit “me, too” evidence - testimony, by non-parties, alleging discrimination at the hands of persons who played no role in the adverse employment decision challenged by the plaintiff. The Tenth Circuit panel majority held that a court commits reversible error by excluding “me, too” evidence.”  For more details, go here.
